In a world first, VINCI Airports, World of Women and Code Green bring digital works of art to airports around the world on International Women’s Day

To contribute to this, VINCI Airports, the world’s leading private airport operator, is joining forces with the blockchain association CODE GREEN led by Inna Modja – Malian artist, musician and climate activist – and WORLD OF WOMEN, led by Yam Karkai, co -founder and artist of the most lucrative women-centric NFT collection, featuring digital artwork of diverse and powerful women.

VINCI Airports will present its passengers with works by digital artists Alexa Mead, Allison Harvard, Amber VittoriaDiela Maharanie, Dong Lu, Elise SwopesInna Modja, Izzako, Jess Bianchi, Lana Denina, Laura CharlestonLaya Mathikshara, Linda Dounia RebeizLivia Electra, Marjan MoghaddamRoya Serwah Attafuah, Shavonne Wong, Synchrodogs, Vaby Vel, Zhuk and Yam Karkai. Some of the artworks were shown for the first time at the World Economic Forum, garnering over $250,000 for women-led climate solutions for the Great Green Wall – an African-led initiative that grows an 8,000km wall of trees across the width of the continent from Senegal for Djibouti.

This initiative is a reminder of how much the airport sector, and mobility in general, contribute positively to cultural openness, by allowing human contact and the discovery of others. The activation also highlights the connections between technology, environmental protection and gender equality – women and girls being by far the biggest victims of the accelerating climate emergency.

The initiative highlights the unique role of women in this struggle. VINCI Airports is accelerating plans by supporting the careers of women within its network. Women make up 37% of its workforce and are increasingly in leadership positions as airport CEOs in the Dominican Republic, Cambodia, Brazil, United States and France.

Nicolas NotebaertCEO of VINCI Concessions and Chairman of VINCI Airports, said: “We are proud to put our airports at the service of such a strong environmental message carried by women artists. This collaboration embodies VINCI Airports’ strongest commitments: to make transport more sustainable and more inclusive. Diversity and gender equality are in the DNA of aviation: mobility brings people together and helps build an open world.”

CEO of Code Vert Inna Modja noted: “It is inspiring to see a leader in mobility like VINCI Airports engage in the fight to decarbonize the transport sector and defend the role of diversity in its network. This made it a natural partner to present these works of art. art at airports around the world on International Women’s Day, highlighting the connections between climate justice and gender equality to a truly global audience.”

World of Women co-founder and artist Yam Karkai said, “At World of Women, we like to have an impact beyond the NFT space. And we believe this is an example of our achievement, being able to organize and participate in this first-ever global exhibition of NFT, alongside talented artists. We are proud to achieve this alongside our partner Code Green, and with VINCI airports, which is accelerating its plans to support more women in leadership positions, which is typically the type of change we want to see in the world.
