The first sustainable residential complex in Cebu by the country’s only green real estate developer, ARTHALAND, was inaugurated on Monday, July 5, 2021 and is expected to begin construction.

With superior design from Saraiva + Associados, an internationally renowned architectural firm based in Lisbon, Portugal, Lucima has 263 one to five bedroom living spaces with an area ranging from 38 to 542 square meters.

Saravia + Associados’ human-centered design approach places comfort, functionality and aesthetics at the center of this project.

Each unit boasts a floor-to-ceiling height of 2.9 meters, and residents can enjoy ocean, mountain, or city views.

“The objective of this project was to design an emblematic building of the city that would integrate into its environment. This building sits on a podium – a podium with personality – which will showcase a well-designed and integrated vertically building. In addition to obtaining pre-certification for LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold from the US Green Building Council, other sustainable certifications from local and international organizations for Lucima are in progress.

These are WELL ™ (WELL Building Standard), EDGE® (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency), and BERDE (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence).

With its advocacy to continue building green and resilient buildings in the country, ARTHALAND is setting a new standard and reaching a global milestone as the world’s first zero-carbon EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) residential project in the world.

Health and well-being at the center

Carefully planned with health, safety and security in mind, residents of Lucima will benefit from reduced electricity and water bills and improved indoor air quality.
