The news from Portugal is proud to have taken over Central Algarve Magazine, with the first all-new look issue now. The magazine, which was published to great acclaim for nearly 30 years by David Harrison and David Ottewill of Vilas & Vacations, has now been handed over to The Portugal News, and while the look may be new, the same concern of the community and the same ethic of excellence remains firmly in place. Mikaila Tutt Menezes continues to work on the magazine and was responsible for the fantastic new look and design. She is now joined by The Portugal News team made up of sales representatives, journalists, distributors and all the behind-the-scenes staff who helped make this publication a reality, putting together the magazine which is now available for free in the Algarve center and Golden Triangle.

All Favorites

Of course, we’ve kept all of the magazine’s favorite features, including the super handy directory of shops, restaurants and bars, plus helpful maps of the area to help you find your favorite spots.

And we always focus on showcasing the best the region has to offer, highlighting local happenings, talking to local characters and telling local stories – all of which has made Central Algarve Magazine so special over the decades.

So what’s up?

The first thing you’ll notice is Mikaila’s all-new sleek design, which makes the magazine easy to read and fun to keep on your coffee table. We have also increased the circulation to 20,000 copies and increased the number of distribution points in Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Almancil and Loulé, making it easier than ever to find the latest edition. Central Magazine also has a beautiful new website with more features coming very soon and we will also be publishing four times a year now, one more edition every year!

These are very exciting times, and we would like to thank David Ottewill and David Harrison for building the magazine to what it is today and for providing such a solid foundation for us to work on and grow. in each future edition.

And don’t worry if you don’t live in or visit central Algarve, check out the magazine in its entirety online at www.thecentralmagazine.com today or follow us on social media.
